2. I believe in our future

Honorable Judges, fellow students:

Good afternoon!

Recently, ther is a heated debate in our society. The college students are the beneficiaries of a rare privilege, who receive exceptional education at extraordinary places. But will we be able to face the challenge and support ourselves against all odds? Will we be able to better the lives of others? Will we be able to accept the responsibility of building the future of our country?

The cynics say the college students are the pampered lost generation, which would cringe at the slightest discomfort. But the cynics are wrong. The college students I see are eagerly learning about how to live independently. We help each other clean the dormitory, go shopping and bargain together, and take part time jobs to supplement our pocket money.

The cynics say we care for nothing other than grades; and we neglect the need for character cultivation. But again, the cynics are wrong. We care deeply for each other, we cherish freedom, we treasure justice, and we seek truth. Last week, thousands of my fellow students had their blood type tested in order to make a contribution for the children who suffer from blood cancer.

As college students, we are adolescents at the critical turning point in our lives. We all face a fundamental choice: cynicism or faith, each will profoundly impact our future, or even the future of our country. I believe in all my fellow classmates. Though we are still inexperienced and even a little bit childish. I believe that we have the courage and faith to meet any challenge and take on our responsibilities. We are preparing to assume new responsibilities and tasks, and to use the education we have received to make our world a better place. I believe in our future.

3. Change The Ingredients Of Your Life

This is a glass of water, tasteless, right? However if you add sugar, it will taste sweet, but if you add vinegar, it will become bitter. The same is true with our life____ the flavor is created by our choices.

If kindness is added to a strange you will have a friend; but if hostility is added, you will have an enemy. If love is added to a pile of red bricks you will have a home, but if hatred is add to those bricks , you will have an concentration camp.

So my dear friends, never complain that life is boring and the world is disappointing. If don’t like the taste of your life, change the ingredients.

Three year ago, I weighed more than 100 hundred kilograms which caused significant embarrassment and frustration in my life. Like always failing my P.E examinations, like always being laughed at by girls, like being terrified to speak in public. It was my grandmother’s encouragement that revived from my passive attitude to become confident in myself. She said “ My dear, if you can’t change you figure, why not treat it as your own style. So I began to cautiously employ the new way of thinking. By choosing to change my outlook on life, I developed the confidence to make a difference and finally I found a totally new world.

So my dear friend, if faith, hope, love, endurance are added to your life, you will find the confidence to conquer your limitation and embrace new challenges. And hopefully with my speech included, you will have a fantastic speech contest.

4.Hold Fast To Your Dreams

I have a dream today.

I have a dream that one day every vally shall be exalted, every hill and mountain shall be made low, the rough places will be made plain, and the crooked places will be made straight, and the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together.

Wow, what a dream it has been for Martin Luther King. But the changing world seems telling me that people gradually get their dreams lost somehow in the process of growing up, and sometimes I personally find myself saying goodbye unconsciously to those distant childhood dreams.

However, we meed dreams. They nourish our spirit; they represent possibility even when we are dragged down by reality. They keep us going. Most successful people are dreamers as well as ordinary people who are not afraid to think big and dare to be great. When we were little kids, we all dreamed of doing something big and splashy, something significant. Now what we need to do is to maintain them, refresh them and turn them into reality. However, the toughest part is that we often have no ideas how to translate these dreams into actions. Well, just start with concrete objectives and stick to it. Don’t let the nameless fear confuse the eye and confound our strong belief of future. Through our talents, through our wits, through our endurance and through our creativity, we will make it.

Hold fast to dreams, for if dreams die, life is a broken-winged bird that cannot fly. Hold fast to dreams, for when dreams go, life is a barren field frozen with snow. So my dear friends, think of your old and maybe dead dreams. Whatever it is, pick it up and make it alive from today. 抓牢你的梦想

5. Make Every Moment Count

One night, I complained to my mom about the lack of time. Finally she said,＂you are short of time just because you waste precious minutes on complaints and anxiety. The point is, no matter how full your schedule is, if you try really hard, you can always fit in some thing more.＂ It is the same with filling the jar. Even if you place a dozen fist-sized rocks and a bucket of gravel into the jar, there is still space for sand and water between the rocks and gravel.

The lack of time is just the excuse for my negligence of every single minute. I believe that the great dividing line between success and failure can be expressed in six words,＂I did not have enough time.＂The fact is I do have exactly the same number of hours per day that were given to Helen Keller, Pasteur, Thomas Jefferson, and Albert Einstein. The point is I have never touched upon the real meaning of life which lies in snatching, seizing and enjoying every minute of it. No idleness, no delay, no procrastination, no complaint! It is during my moments of complaining or hesitation that my destiny is shaped. Once I make full use of every moment, I believe that, my worries will be gradually cut down to nothing.

Time is the most valuable of all our possessions, but the most perishable as well. As Henry David Thoreau said,＂You must live in the present, launch yourself on every wave, find your eternity in each moment.＂

Whenever I fell the lack of time in the future, I will tell myself ＂Carpe diem , seize the day, make every moment count.＂

this place, pointe du hoc, in itself was moving and majestic. i stood there on that windswept point with the ocean behind me. before me were the boys who forty years before had fought their way up from the ocean. some rested under the white crosses and stars of david that stretched out across the landscape. others sat right in front of me. they looked like elderly businessmen, yet these were the kids who climbed the cliffs.*

we’re here to mark that day in history when the allied armies joined in battle to reclaim this continent to liberty. for four long years, much of europe had been under a terrible shadow. free nations had fallen, jews cried out in the camps, millions cried out for liberation. europe was enslaved, and the world prayed for its rescue. here, in normandy, the rescue began. here, the allies stood and fought against tyranny, in a giant undertaking unparalleled in human history.

we stand on a lonely, windswept point on the northern shore of france. the air is soft, but forty years ago at this moment, the air was dense with smoke and the cries of men, and the air was filled with the crack of rifle fire and the roar of cannon. at dawn, on the morning of the 6th of june, 1944, two hundred and twenty-five rangers jumped off the british landing craft and ran to the bottom of these cliffs.

their mission was one of the most difficult and daring of the invasion: to climb these sheer and desolate cliffs and take out the enemy guns. the allies had been told that some of the mightiest of these guns were here, and they would be trained on the beaches to stop the allied advance.

the rangers looked up and saw the enemy soldiers at the edge of the cliffs, shooting down at them with machine guns and throwing grenades. and the american rangers began to climb. they shot rope ladders over the face of these cliffs and began to pull themselves up. when one ranger fell, another would take his place. when one rope was cut, a ranger would grab another and begin his climb again. they climbed, shot back, and held their footing. soon, one by one, the rangers pulled themselves over the top, and in seizing the firm land at the top of these cliffs, they began to seize back the continent of europe. two hundred and twenty-five came here. after two days of fighting, only ninety could still bear arms.

and behind me is a memorial that symbolizes the ranger daggers that were thrust into the top of these cliffs. and before me are the men who put them here. these are the boys of pointe du hoc. these are the men who took the cliffs. these are the champions who helped free a continent. these are the heroes who helped end a war. gentlemen, i look at you and i think of the words of stephen spender’s poem. you are men who in your "lives fought for life and left the vivid air signed with your honor."

know what you may be thinking right now -- thinking "we were just part of a bigger effort; everyone was brave that day." well everyone was. do you remember the story of bill millin of the 51st highlanders? forty years ago today, british troops were pinned down near a bridge, waiting desperately for help. suddenly, they heard the sound of bagpipes, and some thought they were dreaming. well, they weren’t. they looked up and saw bill millin with his bagpipes, leading the reinforcements and ignoring the smack of the bullets into the ground around him.

lord lovat was with him -- lord lovat of scotland, who calmly announced when he got to the bridge, "sorry, i’m a few minutes late," as if he’d been delayed by a traffic jam, when in truth he’d just come from the bloody fighting on sword beach, which he and his men had just taken.

there was the impossible valor of the poles, who threw themselves between the enemy and the rest of europe as the invasion took hold; and the unsurpassed courage of the canadians who had already seen the horrors of war on this coast. they knew what awaited them there, but they would not be deterred. and once they hit juno beach, they never looked back.

all of these men were part of a roll call of honor with names that spoke of a pride as bright as the colors they bore; the royal winnipeg rifles, poland’s 24th lancers, the royal scots fusiliers, the screaming eagles, the yeomen of england’s armored divisions, the forces of free france, the coast guard’s "matchbox fleet," and you, the american rangers.

forty summers have passed since the battle that you fought here. you were young the day you took these cliffs; some of you were hardly more than boys, with the deepest joys of life before you. yet you risked everything here. why? why did you do it? what impelled you to put aside the instinct for self-preservation and risk your lives to take these cliffs? what inspired all the men of the armies that met here? we look at you, and somehow we know the answer. it was faith and belief. it was loyalty and love.

the men of normandy had faith that what they were doing was right, faith that they fought for all humanity, faith that a just god would grant them mercy on this beachhead, or on the next. it was the deep knowledge -- and pray god we have not lost it -- that there is a profound moral difference between the use of force for liberation and the use of force for conquest. you were here to liberate, not to conquer, and so you and those others did not doubt your cause. and you were right not to doubt.

you all knew that some things are worth dying for. one’s country is worth dying for, and democracy is worth dying for, because it’s the most deeply honorable form of government ever devised by man. all of you loved liberty. all of you were willing to fight tyranny, and you knew the people of your countries were behind you.

the americans who fought here that morning knew word of the invasion was spread

ing through the darkness back home. they fought -- or felt in their hearts, though they couldn’t know in fact, that in georgia they were filling the churches at 4:00 am. in kansas they were kneeling on their porches and praying. and in philadelphia they were ringing the liberty bell.

something else helped the men of d-day; their rock-hard belief that providence would have a great hand in the events that would unfold here; that god was an ally in this great cause. and so, the night before the invasion, when colonel wolverton asked his parachute troops to kneel with him in prayer, he told them: "do not bow your heads, but look up so you can see god and ask his blessing in what we’re about to do." also, that night, general matthew ridgway on his cot, listening in the darkness for the promise god made to joshua: "i will not fail thee nor forsake thee."

these are the things that impelled them; these are the things that shaped the unity of the allies.

when the war was over, there were lives to be rebuilt and governments to be returned to the people. there were nations to be reborn. above all, there was a new peace to be assured. these were huge and daunting tasks. but the allies summoned strength from the faith, belief, loyalty, and love of those who fell here. they rebuilt a new europe together. there was first a great reconciliation among those who had been enemies, all of whom had suffered so greatly. the united states did its part, creating the marshall plan to help rebuild our allies and our former enemies. the marshall plan led to the atlantic alliance -- a great alliance that serves to this day as our shield for freedom, for prosperity, and for peace.

in spite of our great efforts and successes, not all that followed the end of the war was happy or planned. some liberated countries were lost. the great sadness of this loss echoes down to our own time in the streets of warsaw, prague, and east berlin. the soviet troops that came to the center of this continent did not leave when peace came. they’re still there, uninvited, unwanted, unyielding, almost forty years after the war. because of this, allied forces still stand on this continent. today, as forty years ago, our armies are here for only one purpose: to protect and defend democracy. the only territories we hold are memorials like this one and graveyards where our heroes rest.

we in america have learned bitter lessons from two world wars. it is better to be here ready to protect the peace, than to take blind shelter across the sea, rushing to respond only after freedom is lost. we’ve learned that isolationism never was and never will be an acceptable response to tyrannical governments with an expansionist intent. but we try always to be prepared for peace, prepared to deter aggression, prepared to negotiate the reduction of arms, and yes, prepared to reach out again in the spirit of reconciliation. in truth, there is no reconciliation we would welcome more th

an a reconciliation with the soviet union, so, together, we can lessen the risks of war, now and forever.

it’s fitting to remember here the great losses also suffered by the russian people during world war ii: 20 million perished, a terrible price that testifies to all the world the necessity of ending war. i tell you from my heart that we in the united states do not want war. we want to wipe from the face of the earth the terrible weapons that man now has in his hands. and i tell you, we are ready to seize that beachhead. we look for some sign from the soviet union that they are willing to move forward, that they share our desire and love for peace, and that they will give up the ways of conquest. there must be a changing there that will allow us to turn our hope into action.

we will pray forever that someday that changing will come. but for now, particularly today, it is good and fitting to renew our commitment to each other, to our freedom, and to the alliance that protects it.

we’re bound today by what bound us 40 years ago, the same loyalties, traditions, and beliefs. we’re bound by reality. the strength of america’s allies is vital to the united states, and the american security guarantee is essential to the continued freedom of europe’s democracies. we were with you then; we are with you now. your hopes are our hopes, and your destiny is our destiny.

here, in this place where the west held together, let us make a vow to our dead. let us show them by our actions that we understand what they died for. let our actions say to them the words for which matthew ridgway listened: "i will not fail thee nor forsake thee."

strengthened by their courage and heartened by their valor and borne by their memory, let us continue to stand for the ideals for which they lived and died.

I have a dream today.

I have a dream that one day every valley shall be exalted, every hill and mountain shall be made low, the rough places will be made plain, and the crooked places will be made straight, and the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together.

Wow, what a dream it has been for Martin Luther King. But the changing world seems telling me that people gradually get their dreams lost somehow in the process of growing up, and sometimes I personally find myself saying goodbye unconsciously to those distant childhood dreams.

However, we need dreams. They nourish our spirit; they represent possibility even when we are dragged down by reality. They keep us going. Most successful people are dreamers as well as ordinary people who are not afraid to think big and dare to be great. When we were little kids, we all dreamed of doing something big and splashy, something significant. Now what we need to do is to maintain them, refresh them and turn them into reality. However, the toughest part is that we often have no ideas how to translate these dreams into actions. Well, just start with concrete objectives and stick to it. Don’t let the nameless fear confuse the eye and confound our strong belief of future. Through our talents, through our wits, through our endurance and through our creativity, we will make it.

Make Every Moment Count

One night, I complained to my mom about the lack of time. Finally she said,＂you are short of time just because you waste precious minutes on complaints and anxiety. The point is, no matter how full your schedule is, if you try really hard, you can always fit in some thing more.＂

It is the same with filling the jar. Even if you place a dozen fist-sized rocks and a bucket of gravel into the jar, there is still space for sand and water between the rocks and gravel.

The lack of time is just the excuse for my negligence of every single minute. I believe that the great dividing line between success and failure can be expressed in six words,＂I did not have enough time.＂The fact is I do have exactly the same number of hours per day that were given to Helen Keller, Pasteur, Thomas Jefferson, and Albert Einstein. The point is I have never touched upon the real meaning of life which lies in snatching, seizing and enjoying every minute of it. No idleness, no delay, no procrastination, no complaint! It is during my moments of complaining or hesitation that my destiny is shaped. Once I make full use of every moment, I believe that, my worries will be gradually cut down to nothing.

Time is the most valuable of all our possessions, but the most perishable as well. As Henry David Thoreau said,＂You must live in the present, launch yourself on every wave, find your eternity in each moment.＂

Whenever I fell the lack of time in the future, I will tell myself ＂Carpe diem , seize the day, make every moment count.＂

No One Can Be Perfect

Good morning, ladies and gentlemen. Today I want to tell you a story about one of my friends, a lovely and smart girl who is always ready to help others. Being our grade leader, she is good at both work and study. In many people's opinion, she is excellent and perfect. But one day she told me she was gloomy and insecure. People around her considered her outstanding and flawless, thinking she could handle everything. But the more she thought about herself, the more disappointed she became. She found that she was far from perfection. Last week, she didn’t do well in her French quiz, and the day before yesterday, she was late for a conference. She felt depressed and frustrated, because she failed to be a perfect girl without any mistakes.

I was surprised to hear that for I thought she had every reason to be confident. However, the expectation of perfection has become a burden to her. I told her no one could be perfect and I suggested she find her own position.

In fact, people are so eager to be perfect that they demand too much of themselves. They want to be special and unique, and they want to have no defects or weaknesses. However, we can never avoid mistakes and errors. It’s impossible for us to be a superman or a superwoman. No matter how successful we are, there are always some flaws. If we hold that everything should be perfect, we would be overcritical.

My friend now has changed her attitude. She accepts her shortcomings but still keeps a positive outlook. She is even more active and doesn’t allow the mistakes to hinder her pursuit of excellence. And I think that’s the way we should be！That’s all. Thank you!

女士们、先生们，大家早上好！今天我想给大家讲一个我朋友的故事。她是一个聪明可爱、乐于助人的女孩。作为我们的年级长，她无论工作还是学习都很出色。在很多人眼里，她是如此优秀，近乎完美了。但有一天她却告诉我，她很迷惘和自卑：周围的人都认为她很优秀，完美无缺，可以对付任何事情；而她想得越多对自己就越是失望。她发觉自己远不够完美。上周她的法语测验考得不理想；前天，一个会议她又迟到了：很多事情做的不尽完美，这让她很是灰心丧气。

听到这些的时候我很惊讶，我原以为她有充分的理由对自己充满信心。然而，对完美的期望却变成了她的负担。我告诉她，没有人可以完美无缺的，她应该找到自己真正的位置。

实际上，人们有时过于追求完美而且期望的太多了。我们想要特别，想要独一无二；又想要没有缺点没有弱点。可是，人是无法避免错误的,有谁能成为超人呢？无论你多么成功，总是有一些事情不够完美。如果我们坚持要完美无缺，那只能是一种求全责备。

Never Give Up

When we are appreciating the passionate melody of Gloria Estefan, we could hardly imagine that she could return to the stage after her paralysis. In the year 1990, this Cuban singer was knocked down in a traffic accident, and the doctor declared that she might never walk again. But Gloria did not give up and kept up constant exercising. Just one year after the disaster, she stood up again and presented this encouraging song at the Atlanta Olympics.

Whenever I think of Gloria, I can’t help recalling my memory seven years ago, when I first entered university. Naturally shy, ordinary looking, average scores in study, just like an ugly duckling, I seemed to be the least outstanding one in my class. And the successive failures in the beginning led me into despair. “Am I destined to take the back seat to others?” Unwilling to submit to the fate, I paid more efforts on my study as well as many other activities, film dubbing, recital, drama… cause I just want to catch every little opportunity to prove myself. Constant effort yields sure success. Thanks to the competition, I received some awards and most of all, I gained the courage and confidence to face any difficulties in my life journey.

Life is just like farming, and what you can reap depends a lot on your sowing and dedication. Once you have a dream, don’t be hesitant. Your next difficult step may be the one to the top. Keep going forward, even in the toughest time, and never give up.

The Importance of Keeping Optimistic

Honourable judges, ladies and gentlemen,

Good afternoon! Today I would like to talk about the importance of keeping optimistic. When we encounter difficulties in life, we notice that some of us choose to bury their heads in the sand. Unfortunately, however, this attitude will do you no good, because if you will have no courage even to face them, how can you conquer them? Thus, be optimistic, ladies and gentlemen, as it can give you confidence and help you see yourself through the hard times, just as Winston Churchill once said, “An optimist sees an opportunity in every calamity; a pessimist sees a calamity in every opportunity.”

Ladies and Gentlemen, keeping optimistic, you will be able to realize, in spite of some hardship, there’s always hope waiting for you, which will lead you to the ultimate success. Historically as well as currently, there are too many optimists of this kind to enumerate. You see, Thomas Edison is optimistic; if not, the light of hope in his heart could not illuminate the whole world. Alfred Nobel is optimistic; if not, the explosives and the prestigious Nobel Prize would not have come into being. And Lance Armstrong is also optimistic; if not, the devil of cancer would have devoured his life and the world would not see a 5-time winner of the Tour De France.

A rose may be beautiful, or maybe not; that depends on your attitude only, and so does success, so does life. Hindrances and difficulties do exist, but if you are optimistic, then they are only episodes on your long way to the throne of success; they are more bridges than obstacles! Now I prefer to end my speech with the great British poet Shelley’s lines: “If winter comes, can spring be far behind?” Thank you!

一、培养学习英语的兴趣

俗话说，“兴趣是最好的老师”。那么我们怎样产生对英语学习的兴趣呢。其实同学们只要认真学习英语，你就会发现英语和我们汉语一样是很美的，读起来朗朗上口，写起来也非常流利，把学英语当成一个开心而愉快的美差，而不是硬着头皮、头悬梁、锥刺骨的苦力。。兴趣在"实践"中产生和发展的。

如果在学英语的过程中，你能够尽早地尝试使用所学的英语，那么你学习英语的兴趣将日益增加。和热爱英语的人在一起"，爱"是可以相互传递的。俗话说：近朱者赤近墨者黑。你们应该与喜爱英语的人交朋友，这样，你们对英语的爱就会相互影响、变得更强烈。你有几个喜好学英语的朋友，你们就会组成英语学习小组，一起学习阅读、口语、写作。

二、要有良好的学习态度(信心+恒心)

要想学好英语，首先要有信心。同学们：你相信自己能学好英语吗?别人能学会，我们也能学会。

同时，要想学好英语，还要有恒心。学英语是一个漫长的过程，在这之中难免会遇到困难，学英语要一鼓作气，天天坚持，记住：扎实的语言基本功是要靠勤学苦练、日积月累才能得来的，只有那些意志坚强的人才能够取得最终的成功。

三、要有良好的学习习惯和学习方法。

(一)学习习惯方面：

1.认真听课、积极参与课堂教学的习惯。要抓住课堂这一学习的主要阵地。英语课上，认真听老师讲课，同学发言。英语课上，同学们要积极主动，大胆开口练习说英语，一定不要怕出错，通过实践掌握英语的表达方式。

2.记笔记，整理笔记的习惯。听老师讲课或同学讲解时，要记好重点内容，以便将来查用。

3.背诵重点句子和课文的习惯。学习英语是一种模仿，即俗话说的比着葫芦画瓢。只有多记多背，脑子里有了葫芦才能画出瓢来。

4.纠错的习惯。准备一个纠错本，随时整理错题，还要加上注释。纠正错误即进步。

5.及时复习的习惯.单词、句型、课文、语法等很容易遗忘，因此我们要养成及时复习的习惯。

6.用英语与别人沟通的习惯。

(二)学习方法方面：

1.单词的记忆。

1)根据读音记写法，长词还要学会划分音节，分段记单词。尽量不要一个字母一个字母地背。在短语或句子中记意思。要在运用中去记忆。另外记忆单词要利用多种方法，比如分类记忆：我们把动物的有关词汇放在一起，把有关校园的有关词汇放在一起，或者天文，地理，等等。对比记忆;把同音词、同义词、反义词放在一起进行对比，效果会更好。构词法记忆：合成法，即两个单词放在一起组成一个新单词。派生法，即通过加前缀或后缀的方法构成新词。2.)及时复习，克服遗忘。

著名的艾宾浩斯遗忘曲线”告诉我们遗忘的规律是“先快后慢，先多后少“。因而不要指望一次复习就能高枕无忧。不仅在学后当天，在一天后、一周后、一月后以及在你需要用它的任何时候之前都应安排复习。上课认真听讲，及时记忆。我们记忆单词一次不要太多，5-10个，一次不要时间太长。准备一个小的单词积累本，可利用零散时间经常复习，和遗忘做斗争。如利用早操前，睡觉前，课间，饭后等时间。还要有恒心和毅力，不能三天打渔两天晒网。通过不断积累，词汇量一定会大大增加。

2.培养阅读能力.

1)要养成良好的阅读心理。阅读时心绪要安定，精神要集中，不要一遇到几个生词难句，就心烦意乱，过分紧张的情绪会影响大脑的正常思维功能。

2)培养猜词能力。可利用构词法、上下文猜测词义。

3)提高阅读速度。阅读不同于朗读，有的同学虽不出声但是嘴在动，会大大影响阅读速度。因此阅读时应做到眼动嘴不动，嘴里的小舌也不要动。另外，阅读时眼球总是不断地移动---停顿----移动着，理解是在眼停的瞬间进行的。我们要使眼停的时间相对增加，就要扩大视读的广度，把逐词逐句的点式阅读变成一次扫描一句的线式阅读，并且把看到的东西迅速报告给大脑，形成眼脑较快的直映能力。咱们语文速读有一目十行的方法，英语阅读一目一句怎么样?一定不要在个别难懂的词句上磨蹭，而影响阅读的速度。

4)学会找主题句。主题句往往在每段的开头，因此我们一定要重视每段的第一句。当然，主题句也可能在一段的最后，或在一段的中间。要灵活把握。主题句是概括性的句子。

5)较长或较难的文章可以先看问题，再读文章。

四、要有良好的学习英语的氛围。这需要我们师生共同努力，不仅英语课上尽量多使用英语，课下也要多使用英语。大大方方地说，不要怕出错，不怕别人笑话，就像小孩学说话，练得多了，自然水平就提高了。Don/tbeshy!Justtry!

We know that if the population continues to rise at the present rate， in afew years， there won't be enough food。What can we do to solve theseproblems?

If we eat more vegetables and less meat， there will be more food available。Land for crops feeds five times more people than land where animals arekept。

Our natural resources will last longer if we learn to recycie them。

The world population will not rise so quickly if people use modern methodsof birth control。

Finally， if we educate people to think about the problems we shall have abetter and cleaner planet in the future。

如果我们学会再利用的话，自然资源就能持续更久。

如果人们使用现代化的生育控制方法，世界人口就不会增长如此迅猛。

最后，如果我们能够教育人们都意识到这些问题的话，未来我们就会有一个更好、更洁净的星球。

办公室部员关于英语演讲名人模仿秀大赛总结 12月1日下午3:00，由校团委主办、外国语学院承办的淮阴工学院第九届英语文化节英文演讲名人模仿秀大赛在枚乘路校区YFJ0102教室举行。各个学院的参赛选手们济济一堂，共同体味英语文化的无穷魅力。现办公室工作总结如下：

（一）活动感悟

本次英文演讲名人模仿秀大赛以“怀旧经典，流金岁月”为主题，为选手们提供了一个充分展现自我的舞台。

首先进行的是主题演讲比赛。选手们自由选定模仿对象，有的模仿马丁·路德·金，激情澎湃的演讲让人热血沸腾；有的模仿，意气风发，让人豪情满怀。他们特色鲜明的演讲给大家留下了深刻的印象。参赛选手们水平不相上下，比赛十分激烈。他们的动作恰到好处，他们的模仿惟妙惟肖，娴熟流利的英语脱口而出，现场经久不息的掌声更为选手们增添了信心。比赛过程中还穿插了猜单词的现场互动节目，台下的观众们踊跃上台参与，现场气氛相当活跃。

(二)精神体现

在准备比赛的过程中，选手们努力背诵、理解演讲稿，并仔细揣

摩语调，在此过程中不断超越自我完善自我；本次比赛中，各参赛选手态度积极并在准备过程中努力创新，展现出各种不同ppt风格；演讲台上，不怯场、不退缩，将自己最精彩的一面展现出来，这种善于拼搏的精神值得学习与发扬。

（三）签到工作

活动前签到虽只是一件很小的工作，但我们部门积极认真的负责人员签到，坚决发对代签，以此调动了学生会各部门参加个活动的积极性。

办公室作为负责签到的部门，做到内部成员无特殊原因的都积极参加，并坚决反对代人签到。

（四）啦啦队

办公室为单位组成一个啦啦队，并邀请其他部门加入，一起为生化学院加油。

在位选手加油的同时，我们办公室为活跃演讲气氛，积极配合选手演讲，一句简单的“yes,we can”喊出了默契，喊出了团结，喊出了希望。

（五）获得奖项

经过激烈的角逐，来自生化学院的张烜同学以《Beat yourself》赢得本次大赛的冠军。亚军由来自计算机工程学

院的黄志凯和来自人文学院的卢进军摘得。经济管理学院的朱杰、电子与电气工程学院的朱福明、外国语学院的杨许可和生化学院的谷章春获得季军。

（六）注意点

活动过程中部员更加注意个人举止，遵守现场秩序，不打闹嬉戏，不大声喧哗，认真听完演讲，并努力向他们学习，更加努力学习英语，当一个更加称职的学生干部。

Sometimes the password is your bank account password.He just need to send you a e-mail with computer virus.your bank account and password will be leaked. So what should we do to protect our information security? First of all we shouldn’t tell others our personal information.most of the information leakage event is from our carelessness.besides,we shouldn’t register for an account easily.and i still hold a belief on don’t using number is the best way to protect information security
