This is a principle which must be upheld without any , I wish to report to you that my talks with the government have been aimed at normalizing the political situation in the country. We have not as yet begun discussing the basic demands of the struggle. I wish to stress that I myself have at no time entered into negotiations about the future of our country except to insist on a meeting between the ANC and the has gone further than any other Nationalist President in taking real steps to normalize the situation. However, there are further steps, as outlined in the Harare Declaration, that have to be met before negotiations on the basic demands of our people can begin.
Negotiations cannot take place — Negotiations cannot take place above the heads or behind the backs of our people. It is our belief that the future of our country can only be determined by a body which is democratically elected on a nonacial basis. Negotiations on the dismantling of apartheid will have to address the overwhelming demands of our people for a democratic, nonacial and unitary South Africa. And this reality is that we are still suffering under the policies of the Nationalist , so that the process towards democracy is rapid and uninterrupted. We have waited too long for our freedom. We can no longer wait.
Now is the time to intensify the struggle on all fronts. To relax our efforts now would be a mistake which generations to come will not be able to role in a united democratic and non瞨acial South Africa is the only way to peace and racial harmony. In conclusion, I wish to quote my own words during my trial in 19xx. They are as true today as they were then. I spoke: I have fought against white domination and I have fought against black domination. I have cherished the ideal of a democratic and free society in which all persons live together in harmony and — and with equal opportunities. It is an ideal which I hope to live for and to achieve. But if needs be, it is an ideal for which I am prepared to die.

Let’s check out how serious the environmental situation is in the world. Recent years have seen an increasing number of reports on the extinction of species, soil erosion as well as air pollution. The history of industrialization and urbanization has been a history of declining environmental quality. We may be satisfied with our so called modern life, but please do not turn a blind eye to what’s happened around us. Water is polluted. Animals are killed. Resources are devoured. And farmlands turn into desserts.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is the world we now live in. It’s not a wonderland. It’s not a safe haven. It’s a planet damaged by human beings and the situation is getting even worse. We need to change. We need to do something about it. We need to shoulder our responsibility. Otherwise, the end of world may come just as the film 2012 showed us. Now is the moment; Now is the time; Now is the only chance we can have to save our world.
Then you may ask “what can we do”? I have listed three answers to this question for all of you. Firstly, the governments should take a leading role in publicizing knowledge and raising people’s awareness. They are supposed to use economic and administrative leverage to monitor and regulate the environmental protection. Secondly, companies should raise their ability of independent innovation. They should encourage scientific and technological advances, and use new methods to reduce wastes and pollution. And thirdly, we people, as individuals, must take some actions. We should keep firmly in mind that every enormous change starts from the very first step.
Ladies and gentlemen, the earth is in our hands. Save it, or destroy it, it’s our choice. Our efforts will be powerful enough to save the world. If everyone, including you and me, is engaged in this world-saving project, environment will never ever be my top concern.

as you all know, there is a flinty problem that many many fresh graduates can not find their jobs today. what is worse, it seems that we have few ways to sovle it. probably, some others would argue that why not let our ya go abroad since there are so many chances there? on second thoughts, should our government propose that we youth go abroad for job hunting? my answer is absolutely “ no”!
just think, my friends, why somebody suggest our fresh graduates go abroad? are our markets for job seekers really saturated ? are there really bags of jobs waiting for the jobless abroad? can the migration really put the axe in the helve? it is unlikely, in my opinion.
in some degree, it is a illusion thinking that there have been dead-alive on the labor market home. so many graduates say they can not find their jobs, so many parents worry about their young ones’ future, so many companies close the doors for job seeking…… how it just be a illusion ? do i have a bee in my head?
first ,we should make it clear that what kind of jobs that our graduates want to take, and where they want to work? it goes without saying, only jobs providing high salary in big cities, for instance beijing, can satisfy them. unfortunately ,that kind of jobs are limited. therefore, it is not that our graduates can not find jobs but that they can not find the fictive jobs , as a matter of fact. no matter how flourish and how actively a city is, it can provide numbered positions for the job seekers. what they want is perfect, but what they can gain in the end is another pair of shoes.
in fact, in the country, in the undeveloped places, more and more persons with ability are needed. however, there are no theatres, there are no cafes, there are no kfc, and there are supermarkets… as a result, no body like to work there. as we all know, developed countriess usually have the same problem that large numbers of person lost their work, which is even serious than china. millions of people pageant nearly every day, speaking for a piece of work. so what we can do after we get there? how can we support ourselves?
not all emigrants live a happy life, in fact, most of them worry about their life from time to time. digesting the culture seems always difficult, the salary stays at a low level, and the miss to their motherland always follows…
how about the developing country? are there more jobs, higher wages and comfortable life? i am sorry ,the answer is still “no”! plumply speaking, many developing counties are disordered. you can not prosuppose when the terrorists may attack you, when the epidemic may come and how can you make a living?
now you can see, as i refered to, foreign countries are not the paradise, at least, to most of the people having gone abroad. in this case, why we still suggest our graduates go overseas? in addition, will that really be good for our country after number of fresh graduates entering overseas for their job seeking?
as the matter of our family planning policy, the aged will become more and more, which is leading to a reasonably unfavourable situation. it is said that we will not have enough work force in future. please project yourself in that case, once it comes true, what will it happen? factories is short of workers, hospitals lack doctors, offices are pressed for missionaries…… now you can imagine, my dear friends, how terrible it is!

Yesterday, I saw a TV program through Shenzhen channel concerning the soaring housing prices in our country. That program dispatched many journalists to have interviews with the public in which they are asked about what’re their opinions of the theme. Unexpectedly, most of the interviewees make complaints about the soaring housing price. They hold firmly to belief that such state of affairs is irrational and abnormal. The higher housing prices are, the less people who can afford it. Hence, this may conduce to exceedingly severe living problems. With no lodgings to live in, people begin to do something immoral, and more crimes will come forth, then, social instability ensue. Out of this point, some people may blame the government for not being able to command macroscopic regulation such as not cracking down on illegal purchasing approaches. While others hold the view that some special groups should takeresponsibility for the soaring housing prices problem. As some wealthy people or powerful personages are in p
ursuit of being wealthier by owing more houses through proper or improper ways, the housing prices are forced to be raised. Constant complaints against soaring housing prices will continue unless that tendency drops off.
After stating this universal complaint against soaring housing prices, I would like to come up with my viewpoints. Personally, I deem that this problem is really a hot potato. It depends on the governmental control and personal morality. However, in order to stop the housing prices from going up, I stick to the idea that the central government should make some effective laws , levy more taxes on house property just as western countries do to restrict rich people to purchasing and selling their houses. With the mutual efforts made by people and the government, there is no denying that the complaint against soaring housing prices will disappear one day.

Probably the greatest example of persistence is Abraham Lincoln. Born into poverty，Lincoln was faced with defeat throughout his life. He lost eight elections，twice failed in business and suffered a nervous breakdown.
He could have quit many times - but he didnt and because he didnt quit，he became one of the greatest presidents in the history of our country.
Lincoln was a champion and he never gave up.
In short，it is important that we don’t give up when working for our goals. Whether we succeed in the end or not，we will learn something，and what we learn will help us to bee better，more confident people. I am glad to be here to share my opinions with all of you.My topic today is about Internet.
With the development of technology,more and more people are fond of using Internet.It is particularly popular among young people.Just like the coin has two sides,internet also has its own advantages and disadvantages.
First of all,the Internet has brought people great convenience in getting information,entertainment and contact with each other.As for our students,it is a useful tool when we meet problems.When we are tired,a piece of light music will help us relax.If we have free time,we can enjoy movies or interesting cartoons.What’s more,we can also watch live programs on the internet or see it later if we are not available at that time.
But there is also bad influence.Some of the young teenagers are addicted to computer games,and some even play games all night.Because of lacking in sleep,those students can not focus on in the class.As a result,they may fail in the exam.When they realize it is wrong to spend too much time playing games,it’s already too late.
I have remembered such a piece of news.An excellent student flunked(考试不及格) because he could not concentrate on his study for being too indulged in computer games.He spent nearly all the money on games,which was earned by his fathers selling blood.When his father knelt down to beg him to return to school,he was too numb to show any regret.
The most serious harm of computer games come from their contents,which affects teenagers mental health.Many games involve violence,such as fighting and killing.When they enjoy the pleasure of success,a violent turn of mind is developed and rooted in them,which may induce future violent behaviour in their life.
So when computers entertaining function is highly spoken of,such a problem does deserve our serious concern.
In addition,long times working before computer also does harm to health.The radiation from the computer can arose many uncomfortable feelings.,like a headache,poor eyesight.
At last,people who are fond of making friends on line should also be careful.Many convicts use Internet as a way to cheat.Although it has many disadvantages,Internet has become an indispensable part of peoples life in recent years.In my point of view,it’s wrong to blame Internet itself,it’s all depend on the way we use it.If we use it in a right way,it can be one of the best friends in our life.

Good afternoon,ladies and gentlemen.The issue of the Yellow River has become the biggest concern of members of the Chinese peoples Political Consultative Conference.My childhood,in fact,is closely associated with the river.My father is an engineering geologist,and he used to take me with him on his trips to the hydropower stations on the river.I enjoyed those trips,especially the trip to Longyang Xia reservoir.Although ten years have passed since my visit,I can still recall the scenery;I can still recall the water I saw at the reservoir.It was pure,clean and blue,not like the water I saw in the middle reaches of the river,which had turned brown and muddy after passing through the Loess Plateau.
Once during our stay at the power station,we were caught in a thunderstorm.And when rain stopped,I could see trickles of water rolling down mountain slopes and flowing into the reservoir.It carried little mud or sand,because at that time,trees and grass still grew around the reservoir.And they protected the soil.At Longyang Xia I was struck by the beauty of nature,and as a child I wanted to stay there and to grow up with our Yellow River.
Li Bai,the Tang Dynasty poet,said praises to the flowing water in the Yellow River.He saw it as coming down from heaven and nurturing the people along her way to the sea.However,in 1997,for 330days,not a single drop of water from the Yellow River went into the sea.And droughts are not the only punishment by nature.A friend of my father's,a university professor,is doing research on the Yellow River.According to this professor,the Yellow River will soon change its course if we allow this situation to continue.Because there is no longer enough water to carry away the silt and mud in the lower reaches of the river and the riverbed rises higher and higher each year.
We have taken too much from nature,but given back too little in return.And this is the cost of the unbalanced growth.If we had taken care of the vegetation in the upper and middle reaches of the Yellow River,we would still experience the river as Li Bai described it.
While the developed countries are consuming proportionally more natural resources than the rest of the world,they've also taken some good measures in protecting nature.And as a developing country,China can learn from them in this aspect.
Last year,when I was visiting Australia with a group of Chinese students who had won prizes in an English Skills Test,our Australian hosts invited us to join them for a horse-ride in the mountains.After two hours on horseback,we reached a valley,where there was a most beautiful meadow,with flowers in all colors dotted on a huge blanket of green.When I began to praise the beauty of nature,my friends told me that in this valley,there used to be a big mine and the wastewater from the mine turned everything brown.When the mine was abandoned,people made great efforts to restore the green vegetation.They also used the latest biological technology choosing the best grass seeds suitable for the local soil.So the beautiful meadow is a result of commitment,hard work,and new technology.
What happened to this valley in Australia should also happen to our Yellow River and,in fact,it is happening.I have seen farmers planting trees on mountains along the Yellow River.I have seen them climb the mountain tops with seedlings on their shoulders because they had no machinery.I have seen them pour on trees the water they had carried up in buckets from miles down the valley.These farmers are quietly nourishing our Yellow River,just as the river has nourished them.
And these farmers,men and women I don't know,gave me the confidence that we and our Yellow River will grow together,and someday in the future,we will be able to drink the clean water from our Yellow River again,because she is our dearest mother.
